Hello!
I started Stories of Mental Strength and Persistence in 2025 because I kept noticing and hearing how many people, especially students and young adults, were quietly struggling with their mental health. Around that time, a national survey showed that nearly two-thirds of workers were feeling burned out [1], and about one in three high school students reported poor mental health [2]. Behind those numbers were real people trying to get through their days in silence. I kept thinking, what if someone’s personal story - something they have already been through - could help another person feel less alone? That’s where this idea came from. I wanted to create a safe, anonymous space where anyone 16 or older could share what they have faced and how they found the strength to keep going.
On this site, you’ll find real stories. They are honest, imperfect, and deeply personal. Every story is lightly edited for clarity, but the voice and message are kept true. I chose anonymity as it allows the authors to be honest without fear of being judged or recognized. I believe that allows readers to focus on the experience, not the name attached to it. If you are going through something, I hope reading these stories helps you feel a little more understood. If you’ve made it through something and ready to share, submit your story through the Share Your Story section so someone else can benefit from it. Either way, thank you for being here. Sharing strength makes a difference.
